Patience is a school of fish.

An entrepreneur-led investment firm reading public markets through an operator's lens.

Philosophy

Why a sardine.

Sardines move as one school — yet each fish reads the current independently. Markets reward the same discipline.

We are not the largest fish in the ocean. We do not need to be. The sardine survives by reading what the school cannot — small shifts in light, temperature, the tug of an unseen current.

Public markets behave the same way. Quarterly noise rewards reflex. Multi-year compounding rewards the operator who has watched a business through its full cycles, and knows where the school's instinct is wrong.

Sardine is built for that mode of seeing.

Approach

How we read a business.

01

Operator's Lens

We have built and run companies. We read 10-Ks the way a founder reads their own board deck — looking for what the team is avoiding, not what they are presenting.

02

Concentrated Conviction

A small number of positions, sized to reflect what we actually know. We would rather hold ten businesses we understand than fifty we recognize.

03

Multi-Cycle Duration

We measure ourselves across cycles, not quarters. Capital with a long horizon is the only edge that has not been arbitraged away.

Team

Built by an operator.

Founded a digital marketing company; invested in software and private-traffic e-commerce businesses. Lived through multiple full cycles — the early internet, mobile internet, the platform economy, and the AI inflection. Representative public-market research coverage spans electric vehicles, consumer electronics, and internet platforms.

Now based in Singapore, investing the family's own capital into public companies with the same lens used to build private ones: who runs it, what it earns, what it owes, and what it would be worth if no one else were looking.
